We are thrilled to introduce our newest clinical staff member, Caroline Martinez!
Keep reading to hear more about Caroline Martinez, LPC-A.
Hello! My name is Caroline Martinez and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I recently graduated with my Master’s degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a focus on Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
During my internships, I gained experience working with diverse client populations with varying concerns and needs. I feel passionate about helping teenagers and adults dealing with trauma, depression, negative self-talk, stress, and adjustment concerns.
My goal is to help clients achieve a more harmonious connection between their mind and body and implement healthy coping tools in everyday life. As a native Spanish speaker, I have the privilege to serve the Spanish-speaking community. My aim is to increase accessibility to mental health care and decrease language barriers among this population.
Being in therapy can be a liberating, insightful, and life-altering experience. You’ll have the opportunity to express your thoughts, feelings, and opinions in a welcoming and non-judgmental therapeutic space. You can heal from your traumatic experiences, learn to be more kind to yourself, improve your interpersonal relationships, cope more effectively with stress, and gain a better understanding of yourself and your place in the world.
If you wish to begin your counseling journey, I invite you to set up an initial appointment with me by contacting West Lake Houston Counseling.
Finally, I’d like to share one of my favorite quotes I encountered while reading Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl: “He who has a why to live can bear almost any how” – Friedrich Nietzsche.
