You might be here because dealing with personal problems on your own is no longer working. Perhaps feelings of isolation, anxiety, and sadness consume you on a daily basis. Maybe your relationship with your partner is suffering tremendously and you don’t know where to turn.

When challenges like these arise in our lives, it can feel scary to take the steps to seek a safe outlet for support. Know that you are not alone. Therapy is one of many places where you can sort your thoughts, feelings, and options for creating sustainable change in your life.

Philosophy of Devaney Knight

Intimately familiar with the value of seeking support from others, Devaney Knight believes this is what leads to healing and better health. She has learned that, when given the right opportunities for personal growth, truly amazing things can happen! Her theoretical perspectives in therapy range from relational psychodynamic theory, which focuses on understanding how your experiences of significant relationships influence the lens through which you see yourself and others, to cognitive-behavioral theory, which focuses on the relationship between thoughts and behaviors. Although Devaney Knight is trained in various theoretical approaches, she knows that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience; she will tailor her approach according to your individual needs.

Personal

Outside of the therapy room, Devaney works as a part-time Adjunct Psychology and Mental Health Services Professor. She believes in harmony between work and personal life.  In her free time, she enjoys connecting with family and friends, exploring new brunch spots, and watching action dramas.
