Group Therapy
When it comes to mental health, you are not alone. Group therapy offers participants the opportunity to gain the support of other group members, establish camaraderie, and build confidence. Participants also have the chance to evaluate various perspectives and process their feelings safely under the treatment of a group facilitator. It requires an agreement to confidentiality by all group members to create appropriate boundaries and expectations of the therapy process.
What can group therapy do for you?
Group therapy helps you to express and process your emotions relating to a given topic (based on the group’s purpose and desired goal) and to receive support with actively managing stressors related to that topic. It is an excellent choice if you struggle to make connections with others, or if you are feeling alone in your experience. Effective communication, interruption of negative thinking patterns, and trying on new skills are some benefits of group therapy.
